About Us

She Found Peace was born from my own journey as a NICU mom — a season filled with hospital visits, sleepless nights, and the constant tension between hope and heartbreak. I know firsthand how the NICU changes everything — not just your baby’s life, but yours too.

In the whirlwind of caring for our little ones, it’s easy to forget that mothers need care too. Whether you’re spending your days in the hospital or learning how to navigate life after discharge, your well-being matters just as much as your child’s.

I created She Found Peace as a refuge — a space where mothers like us can exhale, feel seen, and find tools to nurture our mental, emotional, and spiritual health. Through gentle resources, storytelling, and trauma-informed support, my mission is to help you rediscover calm, reclaim your identity, and rebuild your rhythm — one breath at a time.

Behind She Found Peace stands our founder, Onesa Anozie — a mother, social worker, and advocate with an unwavering commitment to supporting NICU and medical moms through every stage of their journey.

Onesa’s story is deeply personal. In 2020, her twin boys were born prematurely at 31 weeks due to Twin-to-Twin Transfusion Syndrome (TTTS) — a rare and life-threatening condition. While both twins survived, their paths were far from easy. One spent 28 days in the NICU; the other fought courageously through 290 days in the NICU and PICU, enduring end-stage renal failure and ultimately receiving a life-saving kidney transplant.

Those long days in hospital corridors — filled with uncertainty, hope, and prayer — forever changed her. They revealed the unseen emotional weight that mothers carry, not only in the NICU but long after coming home.

With a Master’s degree in Social Work and over a decade of experience in the nonprofit sector, Onesa has dedicated her life to empowering families and advancing holistic well-being. Today, she blends her professional background with her lived experience to help mothers rediscover peace, purpose, and identity beyond survival mode.

At She Found Peace, Onesa’s mission is clear:

To support and honor mothers through the full arc of their story — from the NICU to life after — reminding them that healing doesn’t end at discharge, and peace is possible, even in the unknown.
